Days between dates counts from the start date up to, but not including, the end date. Tick "Include the end date" to count both days, as you would for the length of a holiday.
Weekdays are Monday to Friday. Public holidays are not taken off.
When you add months and the day does not exist in the new month, the result moves to the last day of that month: 31 January plus one month is 28 February (29 in a leap year).
